
We hit Montour WMA for opening day of Pheasant Season. We ran into quite a few hens and Roy had his best point yet on a hen in the middle of a milo field, if only it had been a rooster he may have had everything click...We bagged a rooster a few minutes later and I had missed what was an easy shot shortly after. We ran into some quail and Roy did a great job locating it in some heavy cover; bad news is the bird had enough left in him to fly up into a tree and we couldn't get him down.
