Going to the Birds

Its that time of year again. Bird Season - well we're actually a month in but I figure that its about time to post to Roy's Wall of Fame.
We've been chasing quail, huns, grouse, and chukkar in the foothills and mountains since mid September ( 14 total days of hunting) with pretty fair success considering the toll the winter took on the bird numbers. Pheasant opened yesterdayand we filled our bag so we'll be spending a little more time chasing them now.

Today' Visitor

So this morning I'm chugging along on my computer and mid conversation with a bank negotiator I look up and theres a fox sitting on the other side of our back fence. Roy was outside chewing on a bone and didn't notice him. This fox sat under the tree keeping an eye on Roy and on the squirrels in the tree along the irrigation ditch. Roy finally noticed him and I'm sure thought "hey someone to play with." He took off running when Roy went to greet him...

Two Dogs

I've been puppy-sitting for a buddy of mine the last couple days. Roy has enjoyed the company. Its been a whirling blur of white and orange with brief powernaps. Its comical all the activity and then the crash, which you know is the calm before the storm. Good little dogs...

You just can't mess with good music

I keep thinking I'll change the music on this blog but as soon as Johnny starts singing I cancel that thought...
